DWP: How to get your allowance at Christmas and New Years if it hasn’t arrived

Many households in the UK depend on crucial payments from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), particularly at Christmas and New Years.

This period can be a particularly expensive time, especially for those who are already facing financial difficulties.

For this reason, applicants need to know when to expect their payments, some of which will arrive at the start of this year, reports the Daily check-in.

The changes will affect those who are to receive Universal Credit, State Pension, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), and other payments provided by the DWP on certain dates in December and January.

However, for anyone who is not receiving these benefits on time, the DWP has announced that Jobcentre Plus’s hours of operation will change over Christmas and New Years and to ensure people receive their payments.

The DWP said, “With the changes we’ve made to the rules, they can move the second payment to another evaluation period. This ensures stability for applicants when they receive their benefits.

“When two monthly payments are received in the same evaluation period, applicants should report this to their professional trainer. “

Below you will find everything you need to know about the opening hours of Jobcentre Plus and DWP or HMRC payments payable between December 24 and January 4.
