Phoenix, eTap partners with payment solutions

MANILA, Philippines — Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. has partnered with Philippine company eTap Solutions Inc. for additional payment solutions.

The independent oil company said the partnership would give customers access to self-service payment machines at its retail sites and stores nationwide, enabling a wider range of payment options. .

“While we have always been committed to providing the best experience and superior service to our customers, we are delighted to announce that with the recent partnership with another Filipino company, eTap, we will be able to offer the convenience to consumers as we grow our payment solutions service and continue to make our sites one-stop destinations for all needs,” said Phoenix President Henry Albert Fadullon.

As part of the partnership, Phoenix will offer customers self-checkout dispensers at its retail locations and stores nationwide, with eTap installing new dispensers in 70 FamilyMart stores and Phoenix stations over the course of of the year.

For the pilot test, five eTap machines in FamilyMart Udenna Tower, FamilyMart West Aeropark in Clark, FamilyMart 257 BGC, FamilyMart Glorietta in Makati and FamilyMart Global have already been installed.

The first drive-thru eTap terminal from Phoenix Harvard Station in Makati began serving motorists.

Besides bill payment, eTap machines can also support e-money top-up and prepaid loading.

To offer “more than fuel, Phoenix has made its touchpoints more focused and functional by adding various services to its retail network.

Last year, the oil company unveiled its unique retail concept called Phoenix Block, which brings together its strategic business units in one location.

The franchise system turns gas stations into one-stop destinations where customers can enjoy a variety of goods and services.
